Greig started designing when he was four years old.  Starting with fashion design, he cut and sewed costumes.  At age 5, while living with his grandmother in Cripple Creek Colorado, she taught him to sew on her Singer treadle machine, speeding up the process considerably.  He and classmate Shirley Brain, also a designer, began a successful dress design business in their Junior year in High School.  They continued it until they split ways to go to different college situations.

He also began designing for parties and dances for his High School in his freshman year and continues designing with several major fund raiser Balls and other events today.
